Affordable Psychotherapy, low cost Counselling, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in Bristol and Bath
Welcome.
I am interested in people. In each person’s unique complexity. In you.
If you are reading this then you may already have taken the first step on your therapeutic journey; the decision to explore, and to seek the right person to share this work with you.
Am I the right therapist for you?
The following pages will illustrate a little of what I can offer and my ways of working, in order to help you decide.
Whether you come to me for longer term psychotherapy, short term low cost counselling, or for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, my initial aim will always be the same; to create a warm, safe, boundaried space in which we can build our therapeutic relationship. A space where you feel able to share what is on your mind.
I am interested in you as a unique individual and in your connection to the world on an emotional, physical and spiritual level.
Whatever you bring, we can explore it together.
Areas of interest and experience include the following:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Shame
• General feelings of stress
• Relationship difficulties
• Feelings of being ‘stuck’
• Loss of meaning and direction in life
• Living with chronic illness
• Somatisation
• Disability
• Trauma
• Child sexual abuse
• Abandonment
• Narcissistic abuse
• Bereavement
• Infertility
• Adoption
• Working with older people
• Non-twelve step approach to alcohol and substance addiction
• Spirituality and Faith
• OCD

As a psychotherapist in training, I am able to offer low cost, competitive fees at a rate significantly below that of fully qualified practitioners. Please contact me for details. Sessions last for fifty minutes and are weekly. I do charge for cancellations; if you are ill I will try and offer an alternative session in the same week, although cannot guarantee to be able to do so. For booked ahead absences such as holidays I offer four weeks annually at half fee, although sometimes we can make up the missed sessions in the weeks either side.
My Practice is at 13 Orchard Street, BS1 5EH, just off College Green, in central Bristol. The building is an elegant Georgian terrace and I have a quiet, spacious attic room, furnished with comfortable chairs, rugs and plants. You can find pictures on my 'Qualifications' page. There are ample, nearby transport links; bus stops on College Green and The Centre, serving the compass points of Bristol, and a direct link to Temple Meads railway station. There is metered on-street parking as well as nearby Trenchard Street NCP.
If you are a therapist, I have some blocks of time which I am looking to sublet; please contact me for days and rates.
If you are interested in working with me, then please call to arrange an initial session. Or, you can send me an email via the email contact form, and I will be in touch at my earliest opportunity.
